QUEENS, NY – Jason Brown, 37, from Rockaway Beach, was sentenced to 40 years to life in prison for sexually assaulting two child relatives.

The Queens District Attorney’s office announced the sentencing Wednesday, following Brown’s conviction last month on multiple charges including predatory sexual assault of a child and rape.

On July 25, 2019, Brown committed sexual acts against two girls, aged 13 and 9, in his home.

Following the assault, the elder victim escaped to report the crime, leading to Brown’s arrest. The investigation uncovered a two-year pattern of abuse by Brown against the victims.

Supreme Court Justice Ushir Pandit-Durant imposed the sentence, mandating Brown’s registration as a sex offender upon release.
