TANNERSVILLE, PA – On Saturday, Pennsylvania State Police apprehended Michaela O. Gaines in response to a warrant from the Pocono Township Police Department.
The incident originated on Friday, October 27, when police were alerted to a reckless driver in the Burger King parking lot on Rt 715.
Officers identified Gaines, a 27-year-old from Glen Lyon, as the driver of the red Chevrolet displaying erratic behavior on Interstate 80 and nearly colliding with other vehicles.
Investigation revealed signs of Gaines operating under the influence with a child in the car and an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle. Her driving privileges were previously suspended due to DUI offenses.
Charges including DUI, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person were approved by the Monroe County DA’s Office. Pocono Township Police Department requests any information regarding Gaines’ whereabouts.
