WALLKILL, NY — Enoch Lowe, 25, of Wallkill, has been indicted for Murder in the First Degree, Murder in the Second Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Conspiracy in the Second Degree. The charges are related to the fatal stabbing of his neighbor, a Wallkill resident found dead in his detached garage.

Lowe allegedly conspired with Damante T. Stansberry, 24, of Middletown, to murder his neighbor due to long-standing animosity. On October 30, 2022, Stansberry arrived at the residence and stabbed the 53-year-old victim, who was repairing a fence in his backyard.

Stansberry has since pled guilty to Murder in the Second Degree and awaits sentencing.

Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Town of Wallkill Police Department, New York State Police, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and Hudson Valley Crime Analysis Center, contributed to the arrest of Lowe on October 10, 2023. It is alleged that Lowe agreed to pay Stansberry $15,000 for the killing and acted as a lookout, texting Stansberry when the victim was alone and vulnerable.

Lowe was remanded to Orange County Jail on bail options including $2,000,000 cash, $3,000,000 secured bond, or $10,000,000 partially secured bond. Lowe is scheduled to reappear in court on December 1.
