Uzi, Drugs, Found in Berkeley Drug Trafficking Bust

BAYVILLE, NJ – Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that a joint investigation between the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force and Berkeley Township Police led to the arrest of four individuals on narcotics and weapons offenses.

Anthony Isola, 49, of Bayville, was identified as using a residence in Berkeley Township to store and distribute narcotics. Surveillance was initiated on October 24, 2023, during which a silver Chrysler 300, operated by Wali Hobbs, 36, of Toms River, with front seat passenger Tykequan Hollis, 34, of Newark, was observed making several brief visits to Isola’s residence. Janet Jackson, 36, of Newark, was later seen leaving the residence and entering the vehicle.

A motor vehicle stop resulted in the arrest of Hobbs, Hollis, and Jackson without incident. Following this, a court-authorized search warrant was executed at the Bayville residence. Items seized included a hypodermic needle filled with heroin/fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, a UZI 9mm submachinegun and a high-capacity ammunition magazine.

Isola was arrested without incident.

Isola faces multiple charges, including Possession of Heroin/Fentanyl, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of an Assault Weapon. Hobbs and Hollis were charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and additional related offenses. Jackson was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Crack Cocaine among other charges.

All four individuals were transported to Ocean County Jail and are awaiting detention hearings.
