One Dead, Two Injured in Northwest Roanoke Shooting Incident

ROANOKE, VA – A shooting in Northwest Roanoke has left one man dead and two others injured, as reported by the Roanoke Police Department.

The incident occurred around 2:10 a.m. Thursday when officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Hunt Avenue Northwest after reports of a shooting. At the scene, one man was found outside a residence with non-life-threatening injuries.

Further investigation revealed two more victims of the shooting: another man with non-critical injuries and a third individual who was pronounced dead at the scene. Roanoke Fire-EMS transported the two injured men to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.

This shooting is believed to be an isolated altercation between the individuals involved. Several people present during the incident have been taken in for questioning.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and no additional suspects are being pursued. Roanoke Police have classified this as an ongoing homicide investigation and are asking anyone with information to reach out.
