One Injured, House Shot with Eight Rounds in Marshall-Shadeland Neighborhood

PITTSBURGH, PA – Tuesday morning witnessed a shooting incident in Pittsburgh’s Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood.

The police responded to two ShotSpotter alerts, indicating a total of eight rounds, near Geyer Avenue and Shadeland Avenue around 10 a.m.

Upon arrival, responders found an individual with gunshot injuries to his upper body near Schimmer Street and Staho Way.

The injured person was transported to a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. Additionally, a residence on Shadeland Avenue sustained damage due to the gunfire. The police recovered two firearms during their investigation.

The scene was processed by detectives from the mobile crime unit, and the violent crime unit is furthering the investigation.
