Two Shootings Reported Overnight in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Rochester Police were alerted to two separate shooting incidents during the early hours of Saturday on the city’s east side.

The initial shooting took place around 1:45 a.m. A 34-year-old man sustained gunshot injuries outside a bar on North Goodman Street and was subsequently transported to a hospital by a private vehicle.

Roughly half an hour later, near the intersection of East Avenue and Alexander Street, officers reported hearing gunshots.

At the scene, they located a 25-year-old male with a gunshot injury, administering first aid before his hospital transport. Both victims are expected to recover fully.

The search for the perpetrators is ongoing, and the Rochester Police ask anyone with relevant information to dial 911 immediately.
