NEW YORK, NY – A 16-year-old male was stabbed in the back by two unidentified males while walking at the intersection of University Avenue and West 197 Street. The assailants fled on foot and the victim was hospitalized in stable condition.
On Monday, October 2, at approximately 11:33 a.m., the teen victim was approached from behind by the two individuals. One displayed a knife and proceeded to stab him in the lower back, causing multiple lacerations. The suspects then fled northbound on University Avenue and remain at large.


The first suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, aged between 14 and 16, last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark backpack, black pants, white sneakers, and a black hat. The second suspect is also described as a male with a dark complexion, aged between 14 and 16, last seen wearing black pants, black sneakers, and a black hooded sweatshirt.

The victim was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/North Central Bronx and is currently in stable condition. Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward as they continue their investigation.
