NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is urging the public to assist in identifying nine unidentified males involved in a hate crime assault. The incident took place on October 11, around 11:15 p.m., near 438 86th Street, within the jurisdiction of the 68th Precinct.
According to the police report, the suspects approached three victims—an 18-year-old male, a 19-year-old male, and a 21-year-old male—and “acting in concert, made anti-ethnic/religious statements.”
The assailants subsequently attacked one of the victims, punching and kicking him. The suspects fled the scene, heading south on 4th Avenue toward 86th Street. The NYPD Hate Crimes Unit is now investigating the incident.

The 18-year-old victim sustained minor injuries and sought medical attention privately, while the other two victims were not injured. The NYPD has released media related to the case and it is available through the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information (DCPI).
