In a Friday night matchup, the seventh-ranked Donovan Catholic put on a dominating performance against Red Bank Regional, sealing a 41-0 victory. With this win, Donovan Catholic improves their strong record to 6-1 overall and a flawless 5-0 in the Shore Conference. Meanwhile, Red Bank Regional continues to struggle, falling to 1-5 for the season.
Donovan Catholic came out of the gates strong, putting up 13 points in the first quarter alone. Zaeir Day caught a pass from quarterback Todd Lambertson for the game’s opening score. Lambertson himself contributed with a stunning 60-yard run to extend their lead to 13-0 as the quarter concluded.
The second quarter saw the team widen the gap even further with two rushing touchdowns. Najee Calhoun and Roman Moyers each found the end zone, making it 24-0 in favor of Donovan Catholic by halftime.
