BALTIMORE, MD – Police rushed to the campus of Morgan State University (MSU) on Tuesday evening following reports of a shooting involving several individuals.

The incident was reported around 10 p.m., and according to the Baltimore Police’s statement on X (formerly Twitter) the situation unfolded in a student dormitory located on the 1700 block of Argonne Drive.

While the police department has confirmed the involvement of multiple individuals in the incident, the exact number of affected persons or the severity of their injuries remains undisclosed at this time.

In light of the ongoing situation, the Baltimore Police Department has urged the public to stay clear of the area and for those nearby to remain indoors.

“We advise residents and students to continue to shelter in place and steer clear of the location,” stated the department’s public information office late Tuesday night,.

Morgan State University is a public research university deeply rooted in Baltimore’s academic history. MSU is recognized as a historically black institution and boasts a student population exceeding 9,000.
