PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department and the Shooting Investigation Group are seeking the public’s help in identifying two suspects involved in the armed robberies of two Asian-owned nail salons on Saturday.
The initial robbery took place at 4:30 pm at the Happy Family Nail Salon and Spa on 1100 W. Girard Ave.
Later, at around 7:30 pm, a second incident was reported at Nails In The City located at 2401 Aramingo Ave.
In both instances, the suspects, donning women’s Muslim attire and masks, held employees at gunpoint, taking wallets, IDs, and cash from the registers. During the robbery on Aramingo Ave, a store employee was shot in the leg after chasing the suspects. She has since been treated and is in stable condition.
Descriptions of the suspects have been provided. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Philadelphia Police Department.
