Four Arrested After Cops Spot Gun on Car Floor

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – A disturbance at The Autumn Ridge Apartment Complex culminated in four arrests and the recovery of two handguns early Wednesday morning.

Police were dispatched to the S building in the complex around 2:12 am after reports of individuals attempting to kick in a front door. The suspects fled upon hearing the resident call the police. Officers arrived to find three individuals walking away from a silver Honda Civic parked near the apartment. The subjects were detained as they tried to leave the scene.

While interacting with the suspects, a loaded handgun was spotted on the vehicle’s floor. As officers moved to make arrests, one suspect attempted to escape on foot but was promptly detained. A second, stolen handgun was also discovered in the vehicle. All individuals were charged and are now in Camden County Jail.

The following individuals were arrested:

  • William Wiles, 22, of 100 Block of Crossing Way, Clementon, NJ
  • Adonis Reyes-Nunez, 27, of 1000 Block of North 21st Street, Camden, NJ
  • Alyeesa Adkins, 21, of 700 Block North 10th Street, Camden, NJ
  • Asanta Pitts, 26, of 1000 Block of North 21st Street, Camden, NJ

Each of the arrested faces charges including possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a large capacity magazine, possession of hollow point bullets, and receiving stolen property. William Wiles additionally faces a charge of resisting arrest.
