SOUTHPORT, NORTH CAROLINA – The Powerball drawing over Labor Day weekend produced a $1 million prize for a ticket purchased at a Circle K convenience store on North Howe Street in Southport. The ticket matched all five white ball numbers, with odds of 1 in 11.6 million for such a win.
The $1 million win was one of two nationally during the drawing. Additionally, a $3 Powerball ticket in Minnesota won $2 million.
In another significant win in North Carolina on Saturday, a $1 ticket purchased in Durham won $50,000. The ticket was bought at C-Mart on East Club Boulevard and matched four white ball numbers and the red Powerball, with odds of 1 in 913,129 for this win.
Winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes. The upcoming Powerball drawing on Monday features a $435 million jackpot, with a cash option of $210.9 million and odds of 1 in 292 million for the jackpot win.
