WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department has made an arrest in a deadly stabbing incident that unfolded in Northwest D.C. early yesterday morning. A 16-year-old female from Waldorf, Maryland, is now in custody, charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
Officers responded to a local hospital around 2:10 a.m. after receiving a report of a juvenile female admitted for stab wounds. Despite best efforts, the victim did not survive. She has been identified as 17-year-old Naima Liggon of Waldorf, Maryland. The stabbing took place both within and outside an establishment located at McDonald’s on the 1900 block of 14th Street. The victim was transported to the hospital via a privately owned vehicle.
The 16-year-old suspect was found to have a knife in her possession at the time of her arrest.
