PHILADELPHIA, PA – A shooting occurred just after 5 p.m. Monday, leaving one person dead and three others injured, according to officers from the Upper Darby Police Department.

The incident took place at the 600 block of Long Drive.

Investigators believe a group of 50-100 people were leaving a luncheon when a shooter exited a dark-colored Chevy Malibu and opened fire, striking four individuals and killing one.

Police Superintendent Tim Bernhardt stated that the shooting is believed to be a retaliation for another deadly incident that occurred last week in Delaware County.

Upper Darby Police are still searching for the shooter involved in Monday’s incident. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
