CALVERT COUNTY, MD – Moshe Michael Imel, a 53-year-old resident of Owings, was sentenced to 40 years in federal prison for producing child [censored]ography.

On Friday, Calvert County Circuit Court Judge Mark S. Chandlee imposed the sentence, which will run concurrently to a similar sentence given in Federal court a day earlier.

Evidence revealed that Imel, who was also a youth football coach, engaged in inappropriate activities with young boys at his home and subsequently produced videos of these acts.

Due to the structure of the Federal sentencing system and Imel’s age, it is expected he will serve the majority, if not all, of his sentence.

The cases were prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney Rebecca N. Cordero.
