JAMES CITY COUNTY, VA – On Thursday, the James City County Police Department responded to multiple armed robbery reports involving United States Postal Service delivery drivers.
The incidents occurred at approximately 1:10 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., at different blocks in the county, involving the same suspect.
Following an intensive investigation, the suspect vehicle was traced back to a rental vehicle issued to Chanz L. Pough, 20, from Maryland. The suspect was identified as Dashawn Evans-McCloud, 19, who was apprehended at an apartment complex in Virginia Beach.
Evans-McCloud was arrested and faces multiple charges including Robbery, Attempted Robbery, and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. He is currently being held at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail without bail. Pough is currently sought after for his connection with the crimes.
