Attempted Armed Robbery Leaves Man Shot In D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In connection with a shooting and attempted Armed Robbery in Southeast D.C. on Thursday night, detectives from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department are seeking the cooperation of the public to identify and find the suspects and vehicle involved.

Shortly before midnight, authorities responded to a shooting at the 1300 block of W Street. Upon arrival, they located a male victim who had been shot. The victim was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical care, and fortunately, the injuries were not considered life-threatening.

A nearby surveillance camera captured the suspects and the suspect’s vehicle, described as: “a dark-colored newer model two-door Ford Mustang.”
