FRANKFORD, DE – The Delaware State Police arrested Brooks Garrison, 83, following a domestic incident in Frankford last Thursday afternoon.
Troopers responded to a residence on the 34000 block of Shockley Town Road after reports of a stabbing. The investigation revealed that Garrison had threatened to kill a relative before stabbing her multiple times with a knife.
Garrison fled the scene but shortly called 911 to turn himself in and was taken into custody without any issues.
The victim, an adult woman whose identity has been withheld, was treated at a local hospital for serious injuries and subsequently released.
Garrison was charged with Assault First Degree, Possession of a Deadly Weapon, and Terroristic Threatening, all felonies. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $102,000 cash bond.
