NEW YORK – In Wednesday’s Powerball drawing, four lucky tickets managed to win third-prize-winning Powerplay tickets, securing the impressive prize of $100,000 each.
The tickets were sold at 5545 Massapequa Gas on Merrick Road in Massapequa, Players Cafe on Bleeker Street in Manhattan, Smokes 4 Less on North Plank Road in Newburgh, and Cornerstone Drug and Gift on Champlain Street in Rouses Point.
According to lottery officials, “The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The Power Ball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26. When purchased, the Power Play option provides players with a chance to multiply non-jackpot prizes up to 10 times. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.”
