NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that occurred on Thursday, seeking public assistance in identifying and locating the individuals involved.
At approximately 5:50 AM, five unknown individuals were present at Pier 84, located at 12 Avenue and West 44 Street. According to reports, one of these individuals approached a 35-year-old male and stabbed him in the chest. The group then fled the scene, heading eastbound out of the pier. The victim, now identified as Hugo Morales, was transported to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he was pronounced deceased.
Descriptions of the individuals involved have been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
