Berwyn Heights, MD – As the summer heat rises, so does the excitement surrounding the Hot 7s family of scratch-off games. Recently, a fortunate woman from Prince George’s County claimed the first $100,000 top prize in the Hot 7s Multiplier scratch-off.

Living in the College Park area, the woman initially thought she had a winning scratch-off but wanted to confirm her suspicions. She handed the ticket to her son, who eagerly examined it to determine its status. “It looked like a winner. I wanted to make sure, so I took it to the store, and it was a winner,” he explained.

When the 56-year-old grandmother discovered that she had indeed won the $100,000 top prize, her face lit up with joy. “I was very happy. I feel very blessed,” she expressed.

Working as a food distributor, the lucky winner enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, going out dancing, and traveling. While she hasn’t made a final decision on how to spend the majority of her prize, she excitedly mentioned the possibility of doing some traveling.

In addition to the winner’s good fortune, US Fuel located at 5901 Greenbelt Road in Berwyn Heights is also part of the hot action. As a token of appreciation, the Maryland Lottery will grant the Prince George’s County retailer a $1,000 bonus for selling the top-prize winning scratch-off.

The Hot 7s Multiplier scratch-off, priced at $10, made its debut on May 22. Currently, six $100,000 top prizes are still up for grabs, alongside other prizes ranging from $10 to $10,000. According to the Top 40 Scratch-offs list, the Hot 7s Multiplier game ranked as the third highest-selling game at the Maryland Lottery last week.
