Multiple Post-Independence Day Shootings Reported in Rochester

ROCHESTER, NY – In a string of incidents following the Independence Day holiday, seven people were shot in six separate instances around Rochester within a two-hour span, as reported by the Rochester Police Department.

Lieutenant Jeffrey Pursel of the Rochester Police Department announced that none of the victims sustained serious injuries and the officers are examining the possibility of connections between the shootings. These incidents were reported in different locations across Rochester on Tuesday night, with victims’ ages ranging from 19 to 44 years old.

As of now, no charges have been filed in relation to the shootings, and each incident is under active investigation. Rochester Police Department encourages anyone with relevant information to call 911.
