MANHATTAN, NY – Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr. recently announced the indictment of 34-year-old Nisean Graves for the fatal stabbing of 36-year-old Antonio Eggleston in a busy Midtown street on June 9th, at approximately 8:15 a.m. Graves is charged with one count of Murder in the Second Degree.
Court documents reveal that Graves attacked Eggleston without provocation, and the altercation escalated into a fight on West 30th Street and 7th Avenue.
During the fight, Graves drew a knife, swinging at Eggleston multiple times, eventually stabbing him in the chest. Eggleston, who was unarmed, fell to the ground bleeding and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Graves was immediately apprehended near the scene, with police finding a bloody knife in his pocket.
