14-Year-Old Missing From Rockville

GAITHERSBURG, MD- Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police’s Special Victims Investigations Division are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Jayleen Chavez, a 14-year-old girl reported missing from Rockville.

Jayleen was last seen at her residence on Strathmore Hall Street in Rockville on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, around 7 p.m. Both law enforcement and her family are deeply concerned about her welfare and are appealing to the community for help in finding her.

Standing approximately 5 feet tall and weighing 100 pounds, Jayleen has distinguishing features such as brown eyes and brown hair. At the time she went missing, she was wearing a beige hooded sweatshirt, red sweatpants, and red/white sneakers.

Authorities are urging anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Jayleen Chavez to contact the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at (301) 279-8000. The non-emergency line operates 24 hours a day, and callers have the option to remain anonymous.
