NEW YORK, NY – Police are seeking a woman after assaulting two officers after carjacking a vehicle in the Bronx last Wednesday.
The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual connected to a grand larceny of a vehicle and an assault on two police officers. The incidents occurred within the confines of the 46th and 49th Precincts, respectively. T
According to the police report, on Wednesday, June 7 at approximately 7:45 PM, a 46-year-old male victim was inside his black Audi Q5 parked in front of 1854 Cedar Avenue. At that time, two female individuals approached the victim.
Police said the victim exited his vehicle, and the two females entered the Audi without permission. They then fled the location. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident.
Shortly after the theft, the stolen vehicle was spotted in the vicinity of 435 Van Nest Avenue within the boundaries of the 49th Precinct. Unrelated to the initial incident, two police officers on patrol in the 49th Precinct attempted to conduct a car stop on the stolen vehicle due to an equipment violation.
However, the driver of the stolen vehicle refused to stop and deliberately collided with the police vehicle before fleeing the scene. Both officers suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition.
As a result of an ongoing investigation, one of the females involved was apprehended on Sunday, June 11, 2023, and has been charged in connection with the incidents. However, an additional individual remains at large and is currently being sought by the NYPD.

The individual sought is identified as Aaliyah Mitchell, a 19-year-old female residing at 30 Richman Plaza, Apartment 38K in the Bronx, New York. Mitchell is described as a female of Black Hispanic descent with a medium complexion, brown eyes, black hair, and standing approximately 5’3″ tall. A photograph of Mitchell is included for identification purposes.
