WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two 14-year-old boys were arrested in reference to an armed carjacking that took place late Monday morning in Northwest, D.C.
Just before 11:30 am, a victim who was seated inside a vehicle was approached by the suspects. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded the victim leave the vehicle. The victim got out of the car, and both suspects left the scene in that vehicle.
A short time later, the victims were found and arrested. The vehicle was also found, and a BB gun was recovered from the scene.
A 14-year-old juvenile male from D.C was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, and Possession of a BB-Gun in a Public Space.
The second 14-year-old juvenile male, also from D.C., was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.
