BUFFALO, NY – A jury has found 21-year-old Abdiwahab Sabtow of Buffalo guilty of one count of Kidn Richardson, for another incident that occurred on July 14, 2021.

During that incident, Richardson attempted to steal a car from a woman at gunpoint in the City of Buffalo. When officers attempted to apprehend the defendant, he led them on a high-speed pursuit. He pleaded guilty to those charges on March 24.

Dequan Richardson’s co-defendant, Jonay Robinson, 25, of Cheektowaga, previously pleaded guilty to one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (Class “C” violent felony) on January 12, 2023. Robinson admitted to possessing a loaded firearm that was used by Richardson during the shooting at Donovan Drive.

Robinson faces a maximum of 15 years in prison when she is sentenced by Judge Eagan on June 22, 2023.
