Laurel Man Arrested for Drug Possession

LAUREL, DE – Delaware State Police arrested Wayne Majors, 66, of Laurel, on Sunday, for felony drug possession following an incident at Oasis Travel Plaza located on Sussex Highway. At around 9:18 p.m., troopers responded to a report of inappropriate behavior inside a parked Chevrolet Malibu.

Majors, the driver, was seen discarding several items under the vehicle upon troopers’ arrival.

A search resulted in the discovery of five baggies of suspected heroin and approximately 15.32 grams of packaged cocaine.

Majors was taken into custody and was subsequently charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 2 Quantity (Felony) and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $6,200 secured bond.
