Police Investigate Back-to-Back Shootings in D.C

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating two shootings, eleven minutes apart, that took place yesterday morning in Southeast and Northeast D.C.

The first shooting led police to the 600 block of 46th Street in Southeast D.C. at 11:32 am. Police found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive.

The second shooting was eleven minutes later at 11:43 am. Officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound at the 3800 block of Jay Street in Northeast D.C. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and is also expected to survive.

In both shootings, the suspects were driving a black Jeep Compass.
