MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, PA – In a recent incident, Northern York County police are deep into an investigation concerning an attempt to use counterfeit money at a Sheetz store located in Manchester Township. The incident occurred on Monday, and is currently under active investigation as the authorities are trying to uncover the full scope of this counterfeit operation.
The Northern York County police department received a call from the Sheetz store after an employee identified a counterfeit bill during a transaction. The counterfeit currency was immediately confiscated and has been sent for further analysis to understand the origin and possible links to similar cases in the area.
As of now, the police are seeking a suspect who is described as a middle-aged man, believed to be connected with this attempt of counterfeit money usage.
Police have released CCTV footage from the store and are urging the public to help identify the individual.
