JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ – Yeshiva Tiferes Talmud, an educational institution, has applied to the Jackson Township Zoning Board of Adjustment to convert existing residential structures into a private school for approximately 60 students with an accessory dormitory and a parsonage on the property located at 537 Brewers Bridge Road.

The parcel is split-zoned between the R-1 and R-3 Zones.

The applicant is seeking preliminary and final major site plan approval, use variance relief, bulk variance relief, waiver from ordinance section, and other relief as may be required. The relief sought includes the permit for the school and accessory dormitory uses, permit more than one principal structure or use on a lot containing a single-family home, and minimum side yard setback violations.

The applicant is also seeking relief for the minimum size of the ADA parking space and to permit land banking of a portion of the required parking spaces.

The hearing was carried and a special meeting was requested due to a backlog in applications. The application will be heard again on May 31st.

No action was taken at Wednesday’s meeting.
