SAYREVILLE, NJ – An Honor Guard of law enforcement officers, corrections officers, firefighters, and emergency responders paid tribute to their fallen comrades who lost their lives in the line of duty during the pandemic. The group gathered on April 26th for a funeral mass at Epic Church in Sayreville to honor the 44 first responders who were denied proper burial services due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Brick Township police officers attended the meeting and served as an honor guard.
During the solemn ceremony, the brave individuals were recognized for their selfless service and sacrifice, as their colleagues and loved ones mourned their loss. The Honor Guard stood in solemn silence, paying their respects to those who had given their lives to protect their communities.
