NEW YORK, NY – Police are trying to catch a purse snatcher in Queens. The New York City Police Department is seeking help from the public to identify a male suspect involved in a grand larceny case that occurred in Kew Gardens.
On April 21, at around 9 PM, the suspect entered 80-57 Lefferts Boulevard and took the victim’s purse from behind the counter, which contained credit cards and $900. The suspect tried to use the victim’s credit card at 80-45 Kew Gardens Road but was unsuccessful. He fled northbound on Lefferts Boulevard, and the victim did not suffer any injuries.
The suspect is described as a male, aged between 25 and 30, approximately 6 feet tall, and has a slim build with light complexion. At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing a black hat, black jacket, and blue jeans. NYPD has released media of the suspect, which is available at DCPI and was obtained from the location of the incident.
