BALTIMORE, MD – A 55-year-old man was shot in the face as he sat inside his car in Baltimore. Police have not yet determined the motive for the shooting, but it appears to have been unprovoked.

On Saturday, at approximately 10:03 a.m., Northern District officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Shirley Avenue to investigate a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they located a 55-year-old male victim sitting in a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the face. The victim was promptly transported to an area hospital by medics with non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made. No suspects have been identified.
