BOWIE, MD – Police are investigating the report of gunfire at Bowie State University.
An alleged shooting incident occurred early Saturday morning on the campus of Bowie State University, according to a university spokesperson. The incident is now under investigation by both the Bowie State University Police and the Maryland State Police.
Early reports suggest that the shooting took place in a parking lot located behind the James E. Proctor Building on campus. However, the details of the incident and the circumstances surrounding it are still unclear.
At this time, it is believed that no students have been reported injured.
There are no suspects in custody.
