Falls Township Man Charged with Killing Mother with Fentanyl-laced Iced Tea, Shooting Her

MORRISVILLE, PA – A 28-year-old man, Sean Rivera, has been charged with the murder of his mother, Carol J. Clark, 72, on Monday. Rivera, a resident of Berwyn Road, Morrisville, Falls Township, is accused of drugging his mother by adding fentanyl to her iced tea, causing her to become lethargic. He then drove her to Philadelphia, where he shot her multiple times and left her body in a shed.

Clark’s body was discovered overnight, and she was pronounced dead early Monday morning.

Rivera faces multiple charges, including criminal homicide, kidnapping to facilitate a felony, kidnapping to inflict terror or injury, aggravated assault, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of an instrument of crime, possession of a weapon, false imprisonment, unlawful restraint, and recklessly endangering another person.

He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Jan Vislosky and is being held without bail at the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

The case was investigated by detectives from the Falls Township Police Department and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, with assistance from the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit.
