NEW YORK, NY – Deadly violence struck again in the New York City subway system. On Thursday, a young man died in a stabbing incident onboard a train in Brooklyn.
The incident occurred at around 11:29 pm on a northbound ‘D’ train as it approached the 4th Avenue and Pacific Street station. The police received a 911 call alerting them of the incident and rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an 18-year-old male with a stab wound to his abdomen. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded promptly and transported the victim to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim’s identity remains unknown as authorities have not notified the family.
A further investigation revealed that the victim was involved in a dispute with an unidentified male onboard the train. The altercation quickly escalated, and the suspect stabbed the victim with an unknown object before fleeing the scene. No weapon was recovered from the train. The incident occurred within the confines of the 84 Precinct (Transit District #32), and investigations are still ongoing.
