72-year-old man attacked while walking along Queens Boulevard

QUEENS, NY – A 72-year-old man was attacked and robbed while walking along Queens Boulevard near the Queens Place Mall last Tuesday. Today, the NYPD released photos of the suspect wanted in that attack.

According to police, at around 10:30 am, the 72-year-old male victim was walking when an unknown individual came toward him and began to assault him, knocking him to the ground physically.

“While the victim was on the ground, the individual went through his pockets, but did not remove any property,” detectives with the 110th Precinct said. “The individual then fled the scene on foot.”

The elderly victim sustained minor injuries and was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/ Elmhurst in stable condition.

Police described the suspect as a male, approximately in his 20s, with a dark complexion and a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black winter hat, a black hooded winter jacket, light gray sweatpants, and white sneakers.
