Wanted YouTube prankster charged for deadly Times Square shooting

NEW YORK, NY – Police have arrested 19-year-old Nasir Valenzuela of the Bronx with murder in connection with a deadly shooting in Times Square in February.

Police reported Valenzuela shot and killed 22-year-old Idrissa Siby on February 9th at around 5:30 pm.

Valenzuela was arrested in New Jersey after assaulting a ShopRite employee in a YouTube video on February 21st and extradited back to New York City to be charged today.

According to police, Siby and Valenzuela argued in Times Square near the intersection of West 44th Street and 8th Avenue. That fight escalated when Valenzuela pulled a gun out and shot Selby in the chest. Selby attempted to flee, but collapsed after walking just one block after being shot.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital West where he was later pronounced deceased.

The two men were known to each other before the shooting. Silby was charged with second-degree murder.

Known online as Nas Ebk, Venezuela was also wanted by the New York City Police Department for an airport prank before his arrest.

Venezuela produced prank videos. At the Rochelle Park Shoprite, when confronted by a store employee, Ebk threatened to stab the worker.

He was arrested in February by police in Salem County, New Jersey.
