NEW YORK, NY – An unruly customer assaulted a New York City deli worker in Flatbush recently and police are asking the public to help them identify the attacker.

According to detectives with the NYPD’s 70th Precinct, the suspect entered the Sunrise Deli located at 2186 Bedford Avenue. During his visit, he became engaged in an argument with a 68-year-old male worker in the deli. The worker asked the unruly customer to leave and tried to escort him out of the business.

At that time, the suspect began punching the elderly man in the face multiple times. The suspect fled the scene heading west on Church Avenue. The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The incident happened early in the morning on February 1, but the suspect remains at large. Police on Thursday released a new photo of the suspect and are hoping the community can help them close this unsolved assault case.
