NEW YORK, NY – A 40-year-old NYC cop was charged by police officers from the city’s 34th Precinct with DWI after she refused to take a breathalyzer test Saturday morning.

She was the target of several internal affairs investigations regarding the use of force and abuse of authority.

She was cited in 2015 for infractions against another officer leading to a forfeiture of 15 vacation days. In 2019, she faced dismissal from the NYPD, but instead was stripped of 20 more vacation days.

In 2015, she was placed on dismissal probation for one year and stripped of 30 additional vacation days.

In 2016, the city settled an excessive force lawsuit for $20,000 after Ramirez and her partner allegedly roughed up a woman during an encounter.

On Saturday, she was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Ability Impaired – Alcohol, and Refusal to Take a Breath Test.

In an unrelated incident, the NYPD on Sunday also reported 30-year-old Lasheakwa Tanksley was arrested and charged with assault. Tanksley works as an NYPD Police Communications Technician. She was reportedly involved in a dispute with her sister, the New York Post reported.
