BRIDGEVILLE, DE – The Delaware State Police are investigating a suspicious death after a woman was found dead inside the Heritage Shores community on Friday. Police arrived to perform a wellness check after family members became concerned.
At approximately 9:13 a.m. on Friday, officers from the Bridgeville Police Department responded to Champions Drive in Heritage Shores to inquire about the well-being of a 57-year-old woman. The victim’s family members became concerned when they were unable to contact her recently.
Officers entered the home and found the deceased woman, who appeared to have been the victim of a homicide.
The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit assumed the investigation upon request by the Bridgeville Police Department. Detectives are attempting to locate the victim’s missing vehicle, a silver 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLS bearing Delaware vanity registration “YCANTI.” Below is a photograph of a similar vehicle.
No suspect information is available at this time. Identification of the victim is pending notification to her family and relatives.
No arrests have been made.
