Attack unfolded on Lower East Side platform Police say the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. Monday on April 7, at the Rutgers Street and East Broadway subway station within the 7th Precinct and Transit District 4. According to authorities, the victim, a 30-year-old woman, was alone on the northbound platform of the F train when the unidentified man approached her from behind. As the woman attempted to escape by heading up the escalator, the assailant grabbed her, pulled down her pants, and tried to rape her. She fought to call 911, but the attacker snatched her cellphone and threw it over the escalator side before fleeing the station on foot. No injuries, but serious charges loom The victim was not physically injured, police said. The attacker fled to an unknown location, and has not been seen since. The NYPD is treating the case as an attempted rape and robbery due to the destruction of the victim’s phone. The man is described as being between 25 and 35 years old, with a light complexion, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing around 120 pounds, with a thin build and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, and white sneakers. NEW YORK, NY – Police in Manhattan are searching for a suspect who pushed a 66-year-old man off the platform of a Brooklyn subway station onto the track below on Sunday.

According to detectives with the 71st Precinct, the suspect approached the victim at shortly before 3 pm inside the President Street subway station in Prospect Park.

“A 66-year-old male victim was followed by an unidentified male and pushed onto the Manhattan-bound roadbed,” the NYPD said in a statement through the DCPI office today.

The victim was assisted back onto the platform by two bystanders.

EMS transported the victim to Kings County Hospital in stable condition. The unidentified male then fled out of the subway station towards Eastern Parkway

At this time, no arrests have been made.
