FREEHOLD, NJ – A jury has declared a Freehold man guilty of crimes against a young child after a trial regarding a multi-year pattern of sexual abuse.
Julian B. Hart, 38, of Asbury Park, was found guilty of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, second-degree Sexual Assault, third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for the Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, before Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Richard W. English.
An investigation was launched by the Asbury Park Police Department and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Bureau after a report was made by the victim in the summer of 2021. As a result of the investigation, Hart repeatedly sexually abused the victim, who was under the age of 12, from September 27, 2014 to December 16, 2015. In August of 2021, Hart was arrested and charged with a variety of offenses. On October 22, 2021, Hart was indicted.
Additionally, the investigation revealed that Hart was already under Megan’s Law and Parole Supervision for Life at the time of these acts.
