EVESHAM, NJ – Police in Evesham are ‘hounding’ local children to come up with a name for the newest member of the force, a bloodhound puppy from Bluegrass Breeders through the Jimmy Ryce Center.
“The Police Department would like the children of the community to help choose the name for Evesham’s newest K-9 which will be a girl,” the department said today. “We are asking that the children submit names by either filling out this form and returning it to their teacher or submitting it by email to plazad@eveshampd.org.”
The department says law enforcement names, or connections to September 11th are a plus as the puppy was born on September 11, 2022.
” We are looking for names that are Law Enforcement related or have a connection to September 11, 2001. Our new Blood Hound puppy was born on September 11, 2022 and our new K-9’s birthday will coincide with a very special date, a date we hold near and dear to our hearts,” the department said. “We would like our K-9’s name to help us remember the lives taken that day and honor all the sacrifices made.”
