TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo Police Department has identified a suspect vehicle used by the gunman in Friday night’s shooting outside Whitmer Memorial Stadium during a high school football game.

Two adults and one student were shot at around 9:32 pm when gunshots rang out near the football field house. The victims included two females and one male.

“Last night was a terrible and traumatic event. Thankfully what can be said about what happened at the Whitmer / Central Catholic football game is this: all three victims sustained only minor injuries, and they will all be OK,” Chief George Kral and Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz said in a joint statement after the shooting. “The City of Toledo and the Washington Local School system are working together to determine what transpired during the 4th quarter of the game. Surveillance video has already been helpful in identifying the potential target, and while no one is in custody at this time, TPD will continue its investigation until all facts are gathered and justice is served.”

Today, the Toledo Police Department released a photo of the vehicle suspected of being used by the gunman in the shooting and area asking the public to assist in identifying the owner of the vehicle.
