Suspect in NYC crash said he was seeking revenge against man who robbed him earlier

NEW YORK, NY – A man who drove his black Dodge Challenger into a building in Washington Heights on Saturday said he was acting in revenge against the man who tried to rob him earlier that day.

Luis Rosado, 30, according to police, rammed his vehicle into a business at the corner of West 163rd Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue. Rosado was captured by police after a brief foot chase.

Police reported that the victim had fired at least one shot at Rosado prior to the crash. The victim, now a suspect, fled the scene before police arrived.

There were no injuries reported in the incident. The business has suffered extensive damage to a storefront window.
