CUMBERLAND, MD – The Cumberland Police Department has issued the following police blotter reports regarding incidents that involved police response over the past several days. These incidents were reported and released as-is by the department. The CPD responds to numerous calls per day for police service. This list does not represent all calls for service during that period. The CPD reminds residents that all suspects listed in this police blotter are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

CRIMINAL SUMMONSES SERVED
On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, the Cumberland Police Department served criminal summonses on Aaron Destefano, Leah Welsh, and Deanna Shears. The summonses were issued in connection with a theft investigation. On September 5, 2022 at approximately 2:06 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department were called to a residence in the 200 block of Columbia Street for a trespassing complaint. Upon their arrival, police observed Destefano and Welsh carrying items from the residence. Shears was located inside the residence. It was learned that the subjects did not own any of the items nor did they have permission to be at the property. After further investigation, police filed for charges against them at the District Court of Allegany County. They were released pending trial.

CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED
On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Tampla Stallings. The summons was issued as a result of a private citizen filing for charges against Stallings at the District Court of Allegany County. Stallings was released pending trial.

On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Tonya Kesner. The summons was issued as a result of a private citizen filing for charges against Kesner at the District Court of Allegany County. Kesner was released pending trial.
